About Danny Abrahams
Danny Abrahams is a self-taught landscape artist born in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Danny has become a much sought-after collectable artist, with his original oil paintings and limited edition giclée canvas prints available in galleries around the UK. Danny works from his studio in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
A lifelong lover of the great outdoors, Danny finds constant inspiration in nature and the ever-changing drama of the sky. Working primarily in oil on board, Danny uses the medium to capture the emotional power of light, atmosphere and weather. His paintings explore the relationship between sky and land, capturing the shifting moods of a landscape while reflecting a deep sense of memory and place.
Danny describes his work as “dreamscapes,” blending the beauty of the everyday world, often overlooked, with imagination and feeling. His paintings are able to transport you into familiar yet dreamlike landscapes that stir a sense of calm, reflection and connection.
Alongside his deep connection to landscape, Danny’s work is infused with a strong sense of nostalgia, romance and love. Drawing on memories, emotions and imagined moments, his paintings celebrate quiet connections to a place, a time, or to loved ones.
Danny discovered his passion for art in his thirties, finding himself inspired by the nostalgia of his childhood. Growing up in the 80s, every game of football was monumental and every bike ride an epic adventure. Those childhood friendships and simple, happy moments continue to shape Danny’s work today.
